Paisa tray "Bandeja Paisa"
The paisa tray is the dish that best represents the city of Medellín. The origin of this recipe seems to be quite recent, since there are no references before 1950.
The most accepted theory is that it was developed from other dishes, such as the dry Antioquia or the typical mountaineer.
Its most outstanding feature is the abundance in its presentation. It is so large that it can only be presented in trays; hence the name of the recipe.

THE GUATAPE STONE - "PEÑON DE GUATAPE"
This is a stone that has 740 steps that take you to the top of the Peñón de Guatapé or Peñol stone which is 220 meters high, a site that by its uniqueness has become one of the must-see destinations of Antioquia, for those who wish to know besides this attraction.
COMMUNE THIRTEEN - "COMUNA 13."
This commune is known as "The Birthplace of Pablo Escobar", where once it was an epicenter of violence, precarious houses built in the middle of the hills, narrow and steep streets, which generated multiple alleys and viewpoints, ideal for criminals and the drug trade.
There occurred two of the city’s bloodiest and most remembered military operations, Operation Marshal and Orion.
The direct relationship between Commune 13 and violence has gradually been left behind, thanks to the efforts of its community, especially the young artists and undoubtedly the government. Currently they have made it a totally tourist site and it is really worth going to know it.
THE BOTERO SQUARE - "PLAZA DE BOTERO."
This square is renowned for the bronze figures that gracefully adorn the surroundings of the Museum of Antioquia in one of the most iconic and traditional places of Medellín: Berrío Park, home of the only outdoor place in the world that has 23 sculptures by Maestro Fernando Botero, which were donated in 2002.
PUEBLITO PAISA.
On this site admission is free and without a doubt what stands out most when you reach the top is the excellent view that you can get of the city and of course the charming Pueblito Paisa, because it is a small replica of a traditional Antioquia town in which is the chapel, the school, the mayor’s office, the house cural, the tobacconist, the barbershop, the pharmacy, Replicas of two-storey houses and houses where the most varied handicrafts of the towns of the department of Antioquia are exhibited.
